High purchasing power of the existing population has also led to the development of malls, high rise buildings and complexes.

Industrial Real Estate: Panchkula urban estate, Pinjore , H.M.T. and Surajpur are prominent industrial centers in an around the town. Phase I of the Urban estate has various sectors hosting different manufacturing units. Sectors 1 to 19 are some of the major industrial sectors.

Though the residential and commercial sectors in the town are experiencing a boom in real estate, the industrial real estate is growing at a slow speed. This is because of the extra benefits being offered to Chandigarh and certain towns and cities in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The government is trying to tackle this situation by providing more benefits, providing lucrative offers to industrialists and businessmen and also to global investors.
