Amusement park or entertainment park is a place, which offers entertainment, fun and enjoy for a fairly large number of people. It is a generic term used for a collection of rides and other entertainment amenities, which attracts adults, teenagers, and small children.

The term amusement parks or entertainment parks encompasses several other parks, which include theme parks, water parks, fairgrounds, travelling fairs, etc. An amusement/entertainment park may be permanent or temporary. A permanent one is established over a very large area and remain at the same place forever. The theme parks and water parks are permanently established at a site, while the term fairgrounds applies to sites where mobile, travelling fairs set up their rides for sometime. While the temporary entertainment parks are usually periodic such as few days or few weeks. These parks move from one place to another.

• Location: The establishment of an amusement park require huge amount of space so it is very difficult to find such huge spaces in the heart of a city. Theme Park
Theme Park is a special type of Amusement Park, which includes attractions, buildings, and landscaping made with a specific theme in mind, like jungle wildlife, fairy tales, the Wild West, etc. There are some differences between an amusement park and a theme park. The location of an amusement park may be permanent or temporary. The location of a theme Park will always permanent. A theme park will have only those items, which are related to that particular theme on which the park is based whereas an amusement park contains several amusement items.
